Normandy

Normandy, takes its name from the derivative of the term Norman which means "man of the North", name appeared in the song of Roland in the twelfth century, Honor of the chivalry, the feudal system and the faith, were the key words. Above all, you should know that this is one of the richest and most varied regions of France, which ranks 8th among the most touristic regions of France.

Normandy is indeed very rich; not only by its green image, which we owe to its Norman bocage, its Pays d'Auge and its Pays de Bray and its numerous breeding lands, but also by its Architecture from the 11th to the 18th century, mixing Romanesque Art, Gothic Art, Renaissance and Classicism.

Its gastronomy, the most fertile soils, apples, cider regions, seafood, meat and dairy products.
Its paintings, a true source of inspiration for the impressionist painters. Claude Monet, Eugene Boudin and many others, have honored this region.

The richness of its writings, with the novels of Gustave Flaubert and Guy de Maupassant.
But also for its long beaches of fine sand or pebbles and its coasts, more than 600 km, all along the Channel, famous for its landing of June 6, 1944.

By its passion for the equine world "Normandy land of horses", races, jumping, breeding, Polo, Normandy was notably the host of the last world equestrian games.
